Vintage Keuffel & Esser Compass in Folding Wood Box Case, Boy Scouts?

Please look at the emblem above the Keuffel name ..... Is this a Boy Scout Emblem (enlarge photo)??  I am not sure, but certainly resembles it.
The small wood case measures 3” x 3”. The box opens, closes and locks with no problems. The compass seems to be functioning well. The lock does work.
Please look at the photos.  This compass is very old and was used.  The wood case has some scratching, pitting and related surface wear throughout. The bumps and scratching are most noticeable to the bottom. This is all original and I have not altered or cleaned it in anyway.  The glass is original and you will see glare on some of the photos .... IT IS NOT Broke or cracked.
