This Rare Vintage De Prins Bros Tuba with 4 Valves made in Antwerp Belgium is for restoration or ornamental show piece.
Engraved on the bell is "Student - drawing of a musician playing a horn - Bill Offutt - PATENTED - De Prins Bros - Antwerp Belgium"
Serial No. 20152.
The Tuba is approx. 40" high. The bell is 16" in diameter. All 4 valves move. The 4th valve is missing the push cap.
There are many dents and dings as you would expect from a horn this old. I blew through the horn and it has a nice tuba sound. All tuning slides are stuck in place. May need other work to restore to playable condition. This item is being sold as-is.
