    The MiFi M1000 works with both Wi-Fi and
    Ethernet
    , as well as USB tethering - so you can use it even where Wi-Fi is not allowed. (

    ).
    The device and data is no-contract, managed locally. There is no obligation to continue using the hotspot, though you can continue to renew at /month if you would like. You can keep the hotspot and renew with AT&T using current plans too.
