New Old Stock from Aurora Plastics Co. of West Hempstead, Long Island, You are buying One (1) Speedsteer Corvette GT in HO Scale. It is listed as a tougher #3 in the indispensable Beers Aurora value guide. The #6202 Corvette GT from 1979-1981 comes with the beautiful white/light blue/dark blue #6 paint scheme. It is a real looker mated to chrome wheels all around. It has no evidence of ever having been run. It would make for an instant upgrade to anyone’s collection. Especially nice when displayed with its Mated Firebird, which is offered in another listing. Together they make a sweet matched pair. I believe these were produced for inclusion in race sets only & were never intended for individual distribution. They can both be made to run Slotted by simply inserting a guide pin in a small notch. They run ‘free-wheelin’ into the corners and perform somewhat like really fast, sliding-through-the-curves, Thunderjets. If you notch in a metal G+ Guide Pin, (which I can include free if requested) they should run on just about any HO scale slot car track from Aurora, TOMY, TYCO, Marchon, Atlas etc….
