"BIMBO the ELEPHANT" BREYER INSPIRED FIGURE
- Approx. 1960s Diamond P (Hong Kong). 7.25" x 6.25" x 2.5". Painted hard plastic.
A quality-made early knock-off copy of the popular Breyer elephant design ("Diamond P" figures are popular collector items in themselves).
This elephant was famously used as Bimbo, part of the 1958 TV-inspired "Circus Boy" 2-piece Breyer plastic figurine set. Micky Dolentz (of "The Monkees" TV/music fame) played the role of Corky in the 1950s "Circus Boy" TV series. Note: You are buying the elephant figure only.
Nicely painted with realistic detailing.
Condition is considered GOOD to FAIR with moderate surface/stain/scuff wear. No cracks, breaks or separations.
Overall, a nice example of this uncommon toy (see photos).
